Mother nature couldn’t seem to make up her mind for Round 4 of the MMA Spring Series at Farm Boys Raceway in Brandon, Manitoba. Although Sunday initially showed us a beautiful morning for racing, by looking into the horizon it was obvious rain clouds were looming nearby. The rain held off for most of the morning allowing for the morning motos to run through with a few unscheduled yet necessary breaks for track work. As the last scheduled moto of the morning, the Ladies classes, launched out of the gate the rain began to fall hard once again and the races were called off for the day.

A big thank you goes out to track promoter Craig Hargreaves and crew for their continuous efforts in trying to keep the track raceable for everyone.

British Columbia native Coleton Mclean made an appearance in Brandon this weekend. Mclean showed some dominating speed despite a few mistakes and took third in MX-2 Pro and second overall in Youth A.

Braydon Love, a Snocross and mini-cycle star, was consistent with his results on the day and earned a pair of fourths in the 85cc 12 - 16 and Supermini divisions.

Tye Beischer had a good day and picked up second overall in 65cc Pee Wee B.

Matt Anseeuw kept the gas on in MX-1 Intermediate taking the overall over his brother Derek Anseeuw and Garret Graboweski respectively.

When the rain started to fall on the Ladies B moto it was Michaela Hamm who grabbed second overall.

Continuing his hold on the MX-2 Beginner class, Cole Jacobson took another overall and extended his points lead to 50 points over second.

Nathan Williamson followed D.J. Burmey and Brain Klassen respectively to the 65cc Pee Wee podium taking a solid third overall. Williamson also took a top five with fifth overall in the 85cc 7 - 11 category.

Lauren Gilmore fought through the rough conditions of the Ladies moto and came out with second overall.

Dylan Weidenhamer raced to two second overalls in both MX-3 Junior and MX-1 Junior.

Jasper Devloo rounded out the top five in 50cc 4 - 6 with a fifth place finish.

Youth A saw Lindsay Masse and his trick Honda take the overall.

Randy Mac Klassen and his new KTM broke into the MX-1 Junior top five and left Brandon with a fourth overall in the books.

Keegan Watkins - Mcintyre stood atop the last spot on the box of the 50cc 7 - 8 class.

Duane Beischer finished fourth overall in Plus 40.

Ricky Neil picked up one of Ryan Millar’s bikes and rode it to the win in MX-1 Beginner action.

In the moto that was hit the worst with rain, Carson Wiebe grabbed the first overall payout in MX-2 Intermediate with his moto win.

Darwyn Hoeppner earned a second overall in the muddy MX-2 Junior race.

Brayden Blaine and his KX250F raced to second overall in the Youth B moto.

Connor Kroeker finished a muddy fourth place overall in MX-1 Pro.

Richard Vanderwerf was victor of both of his classes in Brandon. The Vet Junior and Plus 40 B rider took both motos in his respective classes.

Track promoter Craig Hargreaves followed Justyn Mccabe to second overall in both Plus 25 and Vet Master on his home track.

See you in Gimli.
